COVID-19 Directive – Leuenberger Air Service Guests
As we all navigate through this time during COVID-19 it is necessary to provide information and procedures that will assist in keeping everyone safe while still enjoying vacations with family and friends. As we follow the guidelines set out by our governments the following changes will be taking place with our business. Please review all of the information provided in this document as there will be strict guidelines we must all follow in order to assist in flattening the curve of COVID-19.
Face Masks MUST be worn at all times when checking in, loading, unloading, AND while on the aircraft. You must provide your own mask. Without a mask, you will be denied boarding.
Only the head of the group will be permitted into the office to check in your party. If someone is already in the office, please make sure to follow social distancing of 2 meters, a face mask or covering must be worn.
We would prefer all payments to be contactless, which would include e-transfers and or VISA with surcharge (one week prior to trip).
If you are unable to pay via e-transfer or VISA, we can still accept Cashier Cheques and/or Cash, however that process would be done the following way:
The head of the group ONLY will be permitted into the office to process payment
The Restroom inside the office is closed to all individuals. There will be a designated restroom area outside, with a hand sanitization station set up.
The waiting area inside the office is closed, other than check in. We ask that all guests either remain in their vehicles until they depart and/or make sure to be practicing social distancing, especially if you are not a part of another group. This includes no hugging, kissing or hand shaking of any kind and to practice proper sanitizing/hygiene.
We will provide you with Clorox/bleach to wipe down the cabin/boat before you leave. We will be asking you to CLEAN DISHES rinsing in hot water with 1/4 cup of bleach for the next group. YOU must bring your own personal sanitizing/cleaning products for use during your stay.
Weekly Fish Fry, Main Lodge Access, Meal Plans 2021 Health Unit Advisories and Government Mandates will determine this.
2021 Season: We are unable to provide: comforters, pillows and towels at this time, so please be sure to bring your own sleeping bags, pillows and towels/face cloths. YOU must bring your own personal sanitizing/cleaning products for use during your stay. We will continue to provide sheets, however we will require guests to remove bedding at the end of their stay and place this bedding into the clear plastic bags that will be provided.
Going forward into the 2021 season once again we will follow the Health Unit Advisories.
We will be asking all guests to adhere to social distancing (no hugging, kissing or hand shaking), make sure to remain at minimum 2 meters from all other guests and staff along with practicing proper sanitization/hygiene at all times.
We appreciate your business and patience while we all navigate through these unprecedented times. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out via email or telephone and we will do our best to assist.
**Please note that due to Health Unit Advisories, processes and procedures are subject to change with limited notice.
Baggage weight limit is 120 pounds per person, which includes all food and beverages, overweight charges will apply and be strictly enforced.
If you and your party are overweight a Cessna charter would be required to bring in the access baggage. The cost would be dependent on how many miles away from Nakina your vacation is taking place. As an example, if your vacation was 30 miles from Nakina, you would be charged a total of 60 miles at the current mileage rate for the Cessna, as it is a return trip. At the current rates, this overweight charge could cost upwards of $375.
Boxes, suitcases, coolers or duffel bags are all great ways to pack, keep in mind they must be kept to a manageable size and not exceed 50 pounds each. One piece rods are allowed, however it is much safer to bring rods that can be broken down to avoid any damages.
Fishing licenses should be purchased online and printed out for you to have on you during your vacation, there are physical sites you can attend to purchase these if you prefer and all information can be found below:
Accomodations: Pennocks Tourist Service in Nakina has a motel for overnighters. They also have a small convenience store for last minute snacks.
Restaurant/Grocery: Nakina does not have any of these amenities at this time. The last stop for groceries is in Geraldton at No Frills or Daneffs.
Liquor/Beer: Nakina has a full service liquor/beer store in town, however hours of operation vary. If you are arriving late we can assist in picking up your refreshments for you ahead of time, just let us know!
